Whitewater  Ranch

Whitewater Ranch is a family-owned organic farm located along the McKenzie River in Leaburg, Oregon, at an elevation of 700 ft. The ranch grows four varieties of blueberries: Liberty, Draper, Cargo, and Top Shelf, and they are managed through a low-impact sustainable farming method, meaning that they focus on the ethics of agriculture without using harmful chemicals that will negatively affect the landscape. The ranch has agricultural, riparian, upland, and forest habitats and mixed land management practices. The land is also used for sustainable timber harvesting.

Whitewater Ranch is owned and maintained by Jim and Jane Russell, and it is managed by Seth Morgan.

In the aftermath of the Holiday Farm Fire, which occurred in 2020, the stewardship of the ranch has primarily concentrated on the restoration of the surrounding environment. These methods include riparian replanting and monitoring, forest replanting and monitoring, and pollinator-promoting plantings. This is achieved through collaboration with various community partners to restore the natural ecosystem and enhance native biodiversity, allowing wildlife to thrive.
